Default Heads Up For Newbies (and some other things)

As expanding our player base has been a semi-hot topic on here from time to time, I thought I would pass along what I've been doing on that front, and the results it has brought out:

The place I work at has 5 pcs setup for general use by the workers when they are on lunch/break/etc. One of those PCs I was happy to learn had Zmud installed and I have been able to play TFC when time has permitted from the office.

As it turns out, there is a rather large group of role players who work at my office, and a significant portion of them love to MUD! (over 60 LARPist's and 47 of them MUD). None of them had ever heard of TFC before they saw me playing it, so they are curious and have been quizzing me on the game! The plan is for them to finish up some campaign or other in the next couple weeks, and then send some of their players to TFC to give it a try, if the word spreads, the whole lot of them want to try it out! (That's a possible FORTY SEVEN new players!! WOOT)

Plus some of the folks on the team I am on now are mudders and want to try TFC, possibly as early as today or Monday!

I post this not as a YAY ME kinda thing, but as a heads up to everyone to keep an eye out for newbies possibly in the near future, there might be a sudden rash of newbies that are the real deal, and if we can get em hooked, so much the better for us, right?

As a side note to this, it just goes to show you how quickly the word can spread sometimes and how much of an impact is possible. Any others out there that might have a similiar situation that could help benefit the game?

That's excellent work, Pursnip. Better get some more PCs installed in that rec room
