Hello I'd like to write an area to give dwarves a home on the new continent. I am thinking of it as a Moria type town now (Undergrown mine town) -

    Area Proposal -

Area Purpose: Dwarven home town on Outland Frontier
    Range: 1-30

Will provide writing samples after approval (if approved)

just to talk about the new continent... I think the HT's really need vortex - I NEVER go to these zones because they're a pain in the ass to get to

I don't think there should be a Dwarf town there, aren't dwarves afraid of the water? When was the last time you saw an npc dwarf on a boat? ok, lord of the rings, but they had to force him to get on it.

Maybe there could be a separate vortex there, we could clone the original and just give it different exits, once there's enough zones on the frontier. maybe have one room that is between the vortices? (vortexi? vortexes?) note that in safehaven, the vortex access is down, maybe we could have an up access to the second vortex?

The dwarves could have tunneled under the entire ocean, or been flown there in some desperate rout - or gotten on that boat. It seems like the right brainstorm, there is no reason a dwarf town shouldn't exist on the new continent. If the ore were rich enough - they'd find a way.

As for vortex to the frontier - I think it being less accessible is the reason it is the frontier, and a uniqueness that makes it great.

Yes, my town is based on a mining site that expanded into a city

    Default The long tunnel

ok, yeah, an outpouring from a tunnel makes sense, but won't we need a 'long tunnel' zone that leads to it? maybe flooded to explain why they were isolated? do they come from the north or south? any blaster mages wandering about?

I'm just trying to find a way there that doesn't risk the Tempest...
