Thread: Scavenger Hunt

    Default Scavenger Hunt

I just finished playing one of these and it was a lot of fun.

Can we expect to see these added to the bard leveling requirements? I vote it gets added!

    I have considered it.

Whether it should be an additional skill requirement (for a total of 4), replace one of the existing 3, or supplement them (must meet the requirements for any 3 of the 4) is an open question.

If this replaced LQ as a requirement I would actually blow the dust off of my bard. *chuckle*

no no, no replacing. Add it as an additional requirement. Lower some of the other requirements perhaps. Maybe something like 20% less of the other three (over all, not per level). Add scavenger points with numbers somewhere between mobhunt and lq, a little closer to lq. The points seem easy enough to get, I got 30 points and only played 10 minutes.

Thumbs up less? more? same? hmmm

    Greetings,

I like the idea as a 4th requirement.

As for Lycron, you are just being lazy, get off your butt and bard !!!

    I await your considered response.

    yes and no.

lq should be lowered a bit, and i like the idea of including the scavengerhunt, but if it is included, i'd like to see it as a solohunt.

bards are competitive enough (with the limited number of scores), and have enough of a hard time avoiding pkers, especially since the pker can log on to mobhunt and see what zones you might be going to... the competitive scavengerhunt would make it even harder for bards to level since it would increase their risk of getting pked. the Soloscavengerhunt wouldn't do this.

    just my 2 pence

Both solo and game-wide scavenger hunts would count, just as they do for the standings. I would use the overall standing points.

This is pretty much off topic, but I find it amusing that requirements that different bards complain about. Whistler thinks LQ is too high, personally I'd rather do twice as many LQ for a few less mobmasteries. I've never had much problem getting the LQ points, once I learned where they were. You can always get someone to help you get to a room, but you can't get help with a mobmastery.

Do the solo and game wide scavenger hunts count equally for the overall standings? It seems that the point value per item is determined differently, but do the points count the same once you get them?
