First off, let me say I find it ridiculous to find a bag of tiny spider hide that can hold 30.
the limit for bag containment should be limited to
[mob lvl * (shaman level /30)] for single classed shamen,
[mob lvl * (shaman level /40)] for dual classed and
[mob lvl * (shaman level /50)] for tripple classed.
the size of the resultant container should further be modified by the skill of the shaman--only those that are 'expert' at make bag should be able to get one of the maximum capacity.
not only would this result in elimination of the aforementioned ridiculous bags, it would allow for the truly huge mobs to be made into truely huge bags.
now before you shut me down on the idea of a bag that can hold 80+, read the rest.
the number of slots that a container takes up in your inventory should be increased to (its carrying capacity/20). this would mean that the aforementioned 80 bag would take up 4 slots of inventory!
Another thing about bags that anyone who has ever had to struggle with luggage knows, is that the more bags you've got and the more full they are, the more unwieldy they become.
to reflect this, each container carried (not worn) beyond the second should reduce both HR and AC by 1, AND each of these (unworn) containers that is more than half full should reduce both HR and AC by 1 more.
Now, I realize that shaman bags aren't terribly popular already, because they are suceptable to certain hazards. I can see two possible solutions to this problem.
the first is to create a new shaman spell "Enhance Item" (artificer skill). I've been pushing for the artificer skills for a while, and i don't see it happening anytime soon, but I thought it deserved a mention here.
the second, simpler solution is just to give the bag special qualities based on either/and/or the shaman's level and skill proficiency.
Apon attaining the following levels, bags made by the shaman should have the special qualites:
10: Fireproof
20: Acidproof
30: Lava/Meteor Proof
even before attaining these abilites, some measure of resistance should be apparent in the the bags. this resistance should be proficiency dependant. (each level of proficiency > average should give the bag a -1save vs the respective hazzard.)
Lvl < 10 Fire Resistance
Lvl < 20 Acid Resistance
Lvl < 30 Lava/Meteor Resistance
Any input?
