lawl @kylor... I think Boro meant you would find writing a zone kaern-style more difficult than you think--not going through a zone you wrote and know all the intricacies. :P

oh perhaps you're right ink, I didn't read it that way. I am absolutely confident that I could write a zone as intricate as mystic wood. I am also confident I know enough about the mud to do so within the current style guide. I actually have a zone over half completed now (and this time I actually know what "completed" means) that has an awesome storyline designed to fit in the with ancient history of the realm that has already been written. I haven't submitted anything for approval yet because I just don't think the timing is right and I would like to see Thor release an update for the writer before I get too serious about it. The zone is a 25-40 XP friendly zone with a very deteailed connection to the history and evolution of the southern continent.

I am just getting around to reading this thread. Thanks for any who gave me props by suggesting I might be a good choice for finishing Kaern's area. Any comparison to Kaern as an area writer humbles me. Mystic wood is a gem.

Unfortunately, I have to say I would not be the best choice. I have my own ideas that I am now starting to ruminate on, and I am pretty sure Kaern's area would rot on the vine were it to be given to me to work on.
