The Rule of Three...(Please read...clarification on Katrana's rule related to PKs)
*A scroll lays bound before you, sealed with wax imprinted with a hunting hound.*
*You break the seal and read the contents therein. The script is written in a chaotic manner, of various styles, and languages. You manage to decipher what the message conveys.*
It is not often in which I speak of restrictions to my Wyldlings...as I hunger for them to go through the realm freely, and do/act in such a manner as the Wyld essence directs them. There have been...inquiries, and disbeliefs that I wish to make clear. It is also on this day, that any and all pacts made by my Hunt previously as it relates to the rule of Three are null and are replaced with this clarification. Effective as of the time of this post...My Hunters will take 3 items and all gold from a corpse that has been granted a Rebirth (rules given by the god+ staff as it relates to those under level 20 of course trump my rules). Please note that this is 3 items per Hunter involved within the act of the Rebirth. To be completely clear, should one individual be granted a Rebirth by two Hunters, they would be allowed 3 items EACH. Also, an item is one item as it looks to be when examined in a corpse. This means that a container is one item, regardless of the number of items within the bag. Three is a powerful number to the Triat, and I expect my Hunt to abide by it. Should this rule not be followed, post a note to me along with the Hunter who broke this and I shall look into the matter. This being said...should one of my Hunt be granted a Rebirth, and the rule of Three is not followed in return, this rule is no longer required to be followed. This will be on a per following basis. Again, to be clear: Should -one- member of a following not follow the rule of Three, the entire following will then be open to have all items taken upon the granting of a Rebirth. If you are unaligned, this will be on a case by case basis. If you are confused by anything which is stated, please let me know. Also, should you be honorable enough to know that you shall not follow the rule of Three, and wish to inform my Hunters now...feel free to do so.
FYI: If you or someone within your following has broken the rule of Three previously, that will not be held against the following. This is related to actions starting as of the post of this note. Essentially, you get a clean slate.
FYI: I reserve the right to set this rule aside in extreme circumstances. As an example...treating the Wyldess with complete disrespect WILL be bad for your items as I may *demand* that my Hunt keep or sacrifice your corpse. Stating your dislike for me, will not get you on the naughty list if you do so respectfully
FYI: Just because a following may be open to have all items taken from a corpse, does not mean that I am demanding they do so. Some of my Hunters may still follow the rule of Three. (This is a tidbit of knowledge...please remember this...most of my Hunters return more if you react respectfully and Thank them for granting you a Rebirth.)
OOC: The Wyld Hunters are out to slay for the thrill of the Hunt, the thrill of the kill. Not for realm domination. They have no allies, no enemies, they merely Hunt as directed by the will of the Pattern within Triat lore. That being said, the players of the characters within The Hunt do not wish to chase people away from TFC by a character losing their corpse due to them being PK'ed. It is my hope that people will play and bring others to play. People have fun within TFC on multiple fronts: RP, a game challenge, and yes PK. PK does have side effects, one being the chasing away of a player because they feel they lost everything they worked so hard for. I know how attached a person can become to their character and the gear that character has obtained. People often forget that I played/play mortal characters. I know how disheartening it can be, thus was my reasoning for introducing the rule of Three. Some people do not believe that Kat would do something like that, but it has been done, and *will* be enforced as per her description. In that same regard, it is my hope, as the player, that those would have the same respect for those in Katrana's Hunt. (Of course Katrana craves craziness...so she doesn't mind either way.) In my mind, if a player does not mind taking all from another player, then they themselves should not mind have the same action taken upon themselves. I apologize for the following wide rule and for the wiping of any pacts Kat's Hunts previously made, but that is merely for administration purposes. It is easier to track a following then hundreds of individuals. So again, ooc apologies on that one! I wish I could keep up with every person!
Change alone is eternal, perpetual, immortal.
