the pit overfloweth

Once upon a time, I set out to help a new character find some gear. We went to the pit and it was so full it spammed my page and then some. Hurray, lots of choices for him. Oh, nevermind, it was mostly garbage. So we set out to clean out the useless things. I was thinking it would be full of weapons that seem nice but no one wants because they want more damage. While there were plenty of those, I also found:

AC 0 ac: 1 bracelet
mv: 15 shield
wis: 1 ma: 5 boots
a sleep potion
a boar totem staff
mr: 1 hr: 3 boots
hr: 3 bracer

While the idea of sharing something you might not want but a newbie would love is a nice one, not even the newbie wanted a boar totem staff.

Personally, I never put in the Pit any item that has less than 3 stats in total (except dmg:2), and usually no less than 4 (not including aff ac). I do put in weapons that have 5 stats or more, to give our myriad rangers a choice of weapon.
