Planning of a GT for 2012

Alright guys and gals, I love to meet up with people and participate in GTs. I think they are amazing

Nothing like spending a day or two or three with good friends you talk to almost daily, but never see! In some mud discussions, and at the recent GT, Vegas came up. I'm game for Vegas, but wanted to throw this out there. Are there any other suggestions? Personally I always find that the most fun is had playing games in someone's house or hotel room just chatting. So toss the ideas out, and then we'll get a poll!

I go to Vegas a couple times a year anyway, so I'd be game. I usually go in March and August, but am up for whatever. The winter is by far the cheapest time to go, but winter 2012 is a long way off.

Only if Las Vegas Blvd is here forward referred to as "The Great Western Road" and the guys handing out the girly fliers are referred to as "a merchant on his way to a meeting".

I am down with vegas let me know ahead of time and i can make it work. We will still be nerds and sit in the room and drink and mud but i love vegas plus i know alot of people live out that way not in the middle of the US

I can start to help narrow it down!

March is out for me as is the first 1/2 of July. September and December are probably out. April wouldn't be ideal. June is not great.

The 2nd 1/2 of July would work out really well but it would be awfully hot in Vegas then.

Alright, how does early May sound? Still a long time away, but hopefullly that will give enough time for folks to plan and muse over this...Solaron and I would probably stay Thursday Through Sunday...so, May 3rd through May 6th, or May 10th through May 13th. Thoughts on those dates? Again just trying to get some ideas and a firm date so people can plan accordingly. Also in pricing hotels, perhaps New York, New York? So we could be on the str...err Great Western Road. Or are there other hotel preferences?

If it's Vegas, I'll be there. May is fine. I don't care too much about hotel - NY NY and Bellagio are fine with me, although Bellagio is pretty expensive

I was looking at some flight+hotel sites yesterday, no huge bargain jumped out but I'll keep looking.

I always pick the cheapest time to go and rates seem alot higher for weekends/ May at Bellagio. So 1. whatever hotel you decide is on great, and 2. I'm *only* going if Natilena definitely goes and *only* if she agrees that we can stalk Tynian while we are in that part of the world

Oh, and because I have a new obsession with Pillow Pets, all in attendance will receive your very own pillow pet! Of my choosing! Except Natilena, I know which one she wants already RAWR.

I thought about going, But May is starting to get warm in Vegas. Sometime when it is not 1000 degrees outside would be nice. We'd probably only be able to come up for a couple days though. How about some time in February?

Now, now Katrana, hold yer hounds for a moment! I said I'd only go if Natilena ventures off with me on a diabolically fiendish mission (terrorize Tynian). It sounds great that more Imms are able to go (Yay Tokugawa and Boromir!). Also, I will be posting a questionnaire to determine the appropriate Pet for each person in attendance. It's going to be difficult and hurt your head, but a Pillow Pet deserves the very best. And thank you, Katrana, chocolate is perfect!

Hmmm.. stand by while I look into my options. Though Boromir suggested late February or March, I KNOW those are bad though I might be able to do early February but not January.

I'm just here to make things difficult!

But I'd really like to go and look, I bring with me a Bliss!
