Kerriariadne offered up some very special items for auction. I'd like to give them to Mish to sell.

I think items such as these should have the chance to be found by "anyone", not just go to those that have the money to buy them.

yeah! i thought all those Tynian auctions were WRONG. hahah. jp. but yeah, i think a saturday would be good, since alotta people work and go to school on the week days

gold doesn't grow on trees, why make it so that people gold for nothing?

To help disburse the items vs. Hork or some other gold miser buying them all - or even one following buying them all, can you limit the purchasing to 1 buy per character for either a time limit or # of auctions?

Randomly distrubute (or maybe not so randomly, so low levels get in on the fun) quest tokens across TFC, exchangable for these items, limit one token per customer.

it's not that it makes golding all for nothing, but little people can't gold as fast, and besides nashites have enough eq, I say the token idea is good, or maybe just surprise us with something neat, but don't sell them to rich nashite's, they have enough now.

Why not make them quest prizes? That way it gives everyone a (more) fair chance of getting them. It doesn't have to be some extremely elaborate quest, probably better being smaller quests for each one. Perhaps you could try to get each FLI to come up with a small quest for one of the items.

They quests could be something as simple as get a list of items, or collective points in something like Cordir's little trivia quests, or even similar to the one that Schwartz used for the tie breaker of the poker quest.

I very much don't think they should be given to Mish for auction.

considering most of the mud is Nash.. id figure wed get most of the tokens.. so i guess its a good thing that we would get the stuff for free rather than buying it with our chump change

P.S. the title of this thread is "equipment auction" and nowhere does Tynian ask for suggestions other than when the auction should take place.

Given the controversy surrounding the auction of these items, I am not going to schedule an auction at this time. I was looking for simple, but the talk of tokens and limits on who can buy what makes things not simple.

This is sad. The Implmentor was making himself available to do something cool. It can't ever be something cool here. It always has to be pet causes and petty crap.

sorry, i don't usually bitch but....
i agree, people want quests, but they'll probably bitch and whine about the rules and regulations for the quest until it's postponed or canceled anyway. pretty discouraging...i came back around february after not playing for 7 years. and i haven't seen a single quest. and now an auction comes up and is postponed and possibly canceled:P don't blame the game for not having the gold or EQ. i just started again without knowing 1 person on here, met a few people, made friends and played the game, were rich for a reason, encouraging each other to gold, goals etc...if you wanna keep it the way it is so be it, we'll just get richer, and you'll..... you know.

I remember when my friend randomed this item (from elemental canyon), over ten years ago ..... I can't believe it never got etched!

If these items are still around maybe cordir would be interested in buying them!
